Your membership in the booster club is one way to show you support your child’s involvement in the band.  With your membership, you are entitled to attend all booster club meetings and have a vote on the decisions of this organization.  Your monetary support goes a long way to help cover the costs of one of the finest band programs in Fort Bend ISD.  Our dues this year are $15 per person or $25 for two.  Please return the membership registration form along with your membership dues to the band hall at your earliest convenience.  Let’s show our kids we are proud of them and support them 100%.  Thank you and Go Broncos!  Make checks payable to BHS Bronco Band Booster Club.

Volunteer Positions

There are numerous opportunities to volunteer and help our kids in the Bronco Band.  The most important way is to join the Booster Club and show your kids that you support what they do.  Beyond that, there are actual events that you can sign up to help with.  Please contact the Membership Chair or the President to help where ever you can.

The Telephone Committee – These people help communicate to the entire band about upcoming events especially our UIL competitions.  The “phone tree” is also utilized if we have a delay in travel or an unexpected change in our arrival time.  This involves a moderate amount of time a few times throughout the year.

The Marching Committee – These people help with the needs of the marching band.  This can include building props, moving equipment and/or props on and off the field during football games and marching competitions and helping repair equipment as needed.  This involves commitment to attend the games and marching competitions but is finished at the beginning of November.

The Tailgate Committee – These people help prepare and serve meals for the band students prior to our weeknight games and competitions.  This year we will have one Monday night competition, one Thursday game and 4 Friday night games.  The time involved is usually from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm and will be finished after the first week in November.

The Sewing / Washing Committee – These people will help us keep our uniforms looking great and help with sewing flags for the Color Guard.  We will work on the flags during the first half of the Lock In and during the month of August.  The uniforms will be laundered during the season as needed (after a massive rain etc) and at the conclusion of the marching season.  You can indicate which you prefer – or both – when you sign up.

The Cookie Committee – These people make and sell cookies every other Wednesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Gym Hallway.  This is a huge portion of our budget and funds a lot of our programs.  You do not need to help every time but it is always better if we can have 3 or 4 people each time.  Our first day is September 8th.

Band Car Wash – If you can help supervise at the Car Washes throughout the year, please sign up.  We have 2 shifts available and our first date is tentatively scheduled for August 28th.  We will definitely let you know the exact time and place for any and all car washes.

  1. Good morning!

I am a former member of the Bronco band and I was wondering if anybody still happens to have a video of a marching show we did in 2002 called “A Thousand Points of Light” with Mr. Beach and Mr. Gegogoine. I would greatly appreciate it if somebody would please let me know.

    Thank you,
    Michele
