Fort Bend County GBHS Bronco Band Quintet Brings Cheer to the Elderly

GBHS Bronco Band QuintetThe George Bush High School Bronco Band Brass Quintet, led by band director Rod Soto, played for a very appreciative audience at a local nursing home.  Consisting of Eleazar Hernandez, Chris Masch, Casey Nwachukwu, John Colmenares and Kyle Russo, the quintet was very happy to volunteer a Sunday afternoon to bring cheer to the elderly and infirm of the Park Manor of Quail Valley, a nursing and rehabilitation center and currently home to about 90 residents.

The quintet had warm wishes for the residents, saying “it feels good to bring the gift of music to the elderly” and another saying, “it feels great to be able to give back to the community and to the Lord.”  The band director also played a few joyful and jazzy tunes on his tenor Sax and said it was the first time they played at the Park Manor of Quail Valley but it wouldn’t be the last. “We want to make this an annual event.”

Thank You!
