My daughter (Allison) is on color guard at GBHS, my other daughter (Christine) is in color guard at CyLakes in Katy. CyLakes band did a car wash during the restrictions by contacting a carwash in the area and they got them to donate the use of the vacuum stations. The kids then dried cars, vacuumed cars, windexed windows, armoralled the dashes, tires etc. for donations. The kids worked out shifts of time so that they did not have to be there all day and over crowd the area. This all worked really well and gets around the water restrictions since professional car washes are exempt from the restrictions.
